Foo Fighters will release their new album on April 11, it’s been announced.

The band, fronted by Dave Grohl, are currently offering fans the chance to hear samples of the record at foofighters.fm. Tune into 101.5 on the virtual dial.

The as-yet-untitled album is the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace’, and has been produced by Butch Vig.

It also includes an appearance from Grohl’s former Nirvana band mate Krist Novoselic.

Foo Fighters played the whole album in full at a secret gig in at the Velvet Jones club in Santa Barbara last week. Grohl has hinted at more surprise shows.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Foo Fighters will play a host of UK festivals this summer, as well as two sold-out headline gigs in Milton Keynes.
