More about:

Pete Doherty has been sentenced to 14 weeks in jail for breaking conditions set out in his probation order.

During a 30-minute hearing at West London Magistrates Court this afternoon, Doherty was told his sentence was for "breach of time keeping, non-compliance of his order and using different drugs."

It’s understood that Doherty turned up late for one of his scheduled probation meetings.

Doherty was given suspended sentence for drug and driving offences in October last year.

The conditions of the sentence instructed him to appear in court for regular check-ups, as well as undertake a rehabilitation programme.

The Babyshambles frontman has now been forced to postpone his scheduled solo show at the Royal Albert Hall on April 26th.

According to his record label, Parlophone, all tickets for the original show will still be valid for the re-scheduled date.

Parlophone’s statement said the singer “would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned."

It's not yet clear whether he will still be able to commit to an appearance at this years Glastonbury festival in June.

Doherty's Past Time In Jail

Doherty previously spent time in jail for breaking into a flat owned by his former Libertines band mate Carl Barat.

Doherty’s original six month sentence was reduced to two months on appeal.

It seems the luck has finally run out for Pete. What do you think? Leave a comment to let us know...
