Noel Gallagher has tipped The Smiths to reform in 2012.
The High Flying Birds frontman feels that there is an excellent chance that Morrissey and Johnny Marr could finally put their differences aside 25 years on from their acrimonious split.
ContactMusic quotes Gallagher as saying: "The one everybody would like to see is The Smiths and they say it's not going to happen.
"But they said the Roses wouldn't happen and they said Led Zeppelin wouldn't happen."
Morrissey and Marr have continued to stress that, despite other bands reforming, The Smiths would never get back together again.
