Sonar Festival 2012 Dates and Line-Ups Revealed - Tickets Four Global Dates Announced: Barcelona, Cape Town, Tokyo, Sao Paulo

The details for this year’s global Sonar Festival have been announced.
The festival will take place in four cities across the globe including Barcelona, Tokyo, Sao Paulo and for the first time in Cape Town, South Africa.
Taking place in Barcelona on June 14-16, artists such as Hot Chip, The Roots, Fatboy Slim, Friendly Fires, Metronomy and James Blake will perform, while Sao Paulo will host Bjork, Mogwai and Justice.
Sonar have this year announced plans to allow Barcelona punters to pay for their tickets in two stages, more can be read about tickets for all events on the Sonar website.

Arctic Monkeys, Gaslight Anthem For Metallica's Orion Festival - Tickets Metallica set-up their own festival...

Metallica have revealed that they will be starting up their own festival this summer.
The Orion Music + More festival, which is set to take place in New Jersey on June 23-24, will be headlined by Metallica and will also include performances from Arctic Monkeys, The Gaslight Anthem and Best Coast.
Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse, Cage The Elephant, Fucked Up, Hot Snakes, Titus Andronicus, Gary Clark Jr., Lucero, Roky Erickson, The Black Angels, The Sword, Liturgy are also on the line-up.
Lars Ulrich explained: "We've had the idea of doing our own lifestyle festival with lots of diverse music and fun and games for years. Finally this year all the practical ducks lined up in a row, and we are beyond psyched to bring Orion to our fans, friends and the curious.

Queen Confirmed For Sonisphere Festival 2012 - Tickets With new 'frontman' Adam Lambert...

Queen have been confirmed to headline this year's Sonisphere festival.
The band will be joined by Adam Lambert at the event, which runs from July 6-8, reports Digital Spy.

Lambert told the Daily Star: "The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f**king great songs. It's to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.
"After the EMAs, I heard faint little slithers of a backlash from people saying, 'You can't replace Freddie Mercury'. But I already knew that."

Professor Green, White Denim, Death In Vegas For Liverpool Sound City Festival - Tickets Along with other acts...

Professor Green, White Denim and Death In Vegas have been confirmed for year's Liverpool Sound City festival.
Green, who released his second album 'At Your Inconvenience' last year, is the first headliner to be confirmed.
The festival takes place on May 17–19 across various venues in the city.
Other acts added to the line-up include Cloud Nothings, Yukon Blonde, Charli XCX and Fixers,
Last year's Liverpool Sound featured Frank Turner, The View, Miles Kane and Lower Than Atlantis.

Orbital For Secret Garden Party Festival 2012 - Tickets Band to headline...

Orbital have been confirmed as headliners for this year's Orbital festival.
The dance duo, who release their new album 'Wonky' on April 1, will play at the East Anglian event, which runs from July 22-25.
Rob Da Bank has said that the festival will be announcing one act per day throughout February.
As well as live music, Secret Garden Party also boasts food stalls and ale and massage tents.

Rise Against, Slash and Steel Panther For Download Festival 2012 - Tickets More acts have been announced for the festival...

Rise Against, Slash and Steel Panther are the latest acts to be announced for this years Download Music Festival at Donnington Park on June 8-10.
Adding to an already impressive line up, the bands join Biffy Clyro, Soundgarden, You Me At Six and Tenacious D who were also added to the listings earlier this month.
Chase and Status are also set to play the festival despite much uproar over the announcement of their set.
A line up which already features heavy weight names such as The Prodigy, Metallica and Black Sabbath, who are set to headline, also features an impressive amount of big bands.

Dizzee Rascal, Maverick Sabre, Kurt Vile and Howler have been added to the line-up for this year's Benicassim festival.
New Order, The Horrors Crystal Castles Katy B, Example, Spector, Noel Gallagher, Bombay Bicycle Club and Miles Kane will also play the event in Spain from July 12-15 2012.
The Stone Roses will also headline the festival after announcing plans to reunite with a new album and World tour.
Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes were among the acts on the bill at last year's Benicassim festival.

Dizzee Rascal To Replace Snoop Dogg At Snowbombing Festival 2012 - Tickets He's just a snowy rascal...

Dizzee Rascal has been announced as the replacement for Snopp Dogg, at this year's Snowbombing Festival.
The UK rapper will be performing in the Eristoff Forest at the festival set in the Austrian Mountains.
Dizzee Rascal says: ''I can't wait to get back to Snowbombing, the last time was wicked but this time will be even better headlining the Forest stage. I've got a few new ones to try out on you and this time I'm actually going to learn to snowboard!''
He will be joining acts suck as; Example, Dj Shadow & The Vaccines in Austria between April 9th-14th. Other acts confirmed include Fatboy Slim, Chase & Status, Zane Lowe and Skream.

Example, The Subways and Marina And The Diamonds have been added to the line-up for this year's Live At Leeds festival.
The event, which takes place on May 4- 6 at 9 venues across Leeds, will also include performances from Los Campesinos!, Howler, Niki & The Dove, Reverend And The Makers, Spector.
Example will headline a separate event at the city's Millenium Square.

Drake To Headline Wireless Festival 2012 - Tickets Joins Rihanna and J Cole...

Drake has been confirmed to headline this year's Wireless festival.
The rapper, who released his latest album 'Take Care' in 2011, will headline the event's second night on July 7.
Rihanna will play her only UK show of 2012 at the festival on July 8 along with Jessie J and Calvin Harris.
Other acts confirmed for Wireless include Professor Green, Wiz Khalifa and Example.
The festival will once again run over three days from July 6-8.
The London festival was headlined by Black Eyed Peas, The Chemical Brothers and Pulp last year.
