More about: Glastonbury Festival
Doves frontman turned solo artist Jimi Goodwin has spoken out about his festival plans for summer 2014 - revealing that he'll be at Glastonbury and Festival No.6.
Speaking to Gigwise backstage at this weekend's BBC 6 Music Festival, the 'Oh! Whiskey' star said that his summer touring plans were starting to take shape.
"There are a few festivals hotting up," said Jimi. "I think we're playing Glasto, which is great. Then Festival No.6. They're all started to be pencilled in."
Meanwhile, Goodwin is set to take to the road to support friends and collaborators Elbow on their upcoming UK Arena tour. Frontman Guy Garvey worked on Goodwin's upcoming solo album, Odludek (released 24 March).
"The tour is going to be great," said Jimi. They're good friends of mine and I love playing. I'm doing some small club gigs of my own then arena shows with Elbow, you never know what you're going to get.
"Guy's a good friend. We've always promised and threatened to work together, and it finally happened. It flowed really quickly and really easily. It was very instinctive, fun and natural. I'd love to write songs with him again."
