Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison joined The National on stage to play 'Terrible Love' this week. Watch a clip of the performance below.

The performance in Vancouver marked the end of Frightened Rabbit's run of supporting The National on their current tour of the US and Canada.

Hutchison can be seen playing guitar on the far left of the stage, as the band tear through a typically manic rendition of the High Violet track, with frontman Matt Berninger executing an impressive round of crowd-surfing as he sings.

The Frightened Rabbit singer later took to Instagram to claim that he was 'shitting his pants' during the performance.

Speaking to Gigwise ahead of the tour earlier this year, Hutchison said: "How many bands must want to be in that position? In the past we've played with Death Cab and Biffy and bands that have worked their way up naturally in the same way that we have and that's something that I admire and appreciate. So to open for them is going to be inspiring and magical."

Both Frightened Rabbit and The National will be returning to the UK for headline shows this winter. For more information visit Gigwise gig tickets
