Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has adamantly claimed he was sober when he suffered a fall in the shower which caused the band to cancel a gig in Paraguay.
The singer suffered two broken teeth and had to have several stitches after he was left unconscious at the Bourbon Hotel in Asuncion on Tuesday (October 25).
The group were supposed to play a concert the next day but had to pulled out due to the seriousness of Tyler's injuries.
Speculation about the fall was rife but now the songwriter has explained that he was suffering from a stomach illness at the time.
“I passed out. I was in the shower and I got nauseous, and I started to get sick and I fell on my face. I just passed out,” Tyler told NBC Today.
Aerosmith had to cancel a series of shows in 2009 when the singer broke his shoulder falling from the stage at a concert.
