Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has undergone 'radical' cancer surgery, it has been reported.
The musician was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue back in 2006 but was cleared of the disease after undergoing radiotherapy for the condition.
Hamilton confirmed earlier this year that the cancer had since returned and spread to his throat.
According to Ksat.com, last week Hamilton has now undergone 'radical' surgery to remove the cancer, which hasn't damaged his voice or breathing passage.
Aerosmith are currently working on the follow-up to 2004's 'Honkin On Bobo', which was delayed for a number of year's due to frontman Steven Tyler's decision to join the judging panel on American Idol.
