Liam Gallagher has claimed that his new band Beady Eye’s debut album will be the best album of the next 50 years.

The group, which consists of Gallagher and other former members of Oasis, have completed work on the project.

But in an interview with Sky News, the singer said it wouldn’t be released until 2011.

“I’m doing the next record you’ll hear for the next 50 years,” Gallagher said.

“It's not gonna be out until next year. We'll probably get a single out October or November, and there's no point in doing gigs if people haven't heard the music.”

The singer added that Oasis would only return if they were “fucking skint”.

Meanwhile, Gallagher launched a pop-up shop for his fashion label Pretty Green on London’s Carnaby Street on Thursday (July 29).

The singer was joined by wife Nicole Appleton at the opening.
