Tulisa to rise above sex tape with BGT appearance

Sex-tape shame singer Tulisa is set to put her recent embarassment behind her with a performance slot on Britain's Got Talent at the end of April.

The singer has spoken of her excitement at being booked to perform on the TV talent show, which has been seen as many as a chance to redeem herself in the shocked and scarred eyes of the nation who viewed her recent sexual exploits online.

"I'm very excited performing my single for the first time on Britain's Got Talent," said Tulisa to The Sun newspaper. "It's a huge show, with a massive amount of viewers, for my first live solo music performance. Of course, Simon will be on the panel watching, so I'm performing in front of the X Factor boss too!"

A source tells the tabloid of Simon's reasons behind the booking, saying: "He wants her to hold her head high and put in a storming performance."

Tulisa will perform on Britain's Got Talent on 29 April, 2012 and will be her first TV performance since her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards was leaked online.
