Lana Del Rey has taken her first step to winning over US critics following her performance on American Idol last night (22 March, 2012).
The star performed her breaKthrough hit 'Video Game' on the TV talent show - and it was a huge improvement on her previous television appearance. Del Rey was savaged by critics after a disastrous live set on Saturday Night Live earlier this year which saw the singer awkward, nervous and out of key.

Lana Del Rey topped charts the world over with her debut album 'Born To Die' earlier this year, and her US homeland is the only place where she has failed to win fans. Perhaps this performance will change that?
