Madonna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga Top Greatest Women In Music Poll

Madonna has beaten the likes of Lady Gaga and Beyonce to be named the 'Greatest Woman In Music'.

The singer topped VH1's '100 Greatest Women in Music' poll that aims to rank accomplishments made in the last 20 years.

Mariah Carey and Beyonce came in at second and third place respectively, while  Lady GaGa and Adele complete the top five.

The later Whitney Houston was in sixth place followed by Christina Aguilera, Mary J Blige and Pink.

Meanwhile, Madonna could be set to face a lawsuit over her latest single 'Give Me All Your Luvin''.

The singer has been accused of stealing the chorus from Brazilian singer Joao Brasil's own song 'L.O.V.E. Banana'.

The record company are believed to be contemplating a possible lawsuit over the track.
