A Conservative MP has launched a campaign to help secure a Knighthood for Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Mensch tweeted that she had proposed the Led Zeppelin man for a Knighthood, writing on Twitter.com/LouiseMensch: "I've proposed Jimmy Page. Waiting to see if that finds favour with Honours Directorate. I hope so."
She added: ''Clearly there is nobody more worthy of a knighthood and I am glad to say I have gathered support from every major record label in the UK."
Jimmy Page will follow fellow bandmate Robert Plant who was a CBE back in 2008.
Meanwhile, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has revealed that he is set to record new material.
The guitarist, who has signed to the management company IE, said he was anxious to get into the studio.
