Lou Reed and Metallica covered and absolutely butchered a classic by Reed's former band Velvet Underground last night on "Later ... With Jools Holland".
They played seminal hit "White Light/White Heat", leaving many viewers stunned at what they witnessed.
The collaborative act - who recently released co-album 'Lulu' - also performed "Iced Honey" from that record.
You can watch both videos at the bottom.
Reed spoke last week about the hate mail he's recieved from angry Metallica fans.
He said: "They are threatening to shoot me, and that's only because I showed up. They haven't even heard the record yet, and they're recommending various forms of torture and death.".
