Liam Gallagher is among numerous musicians who have praised the recent news that The Stone Roses have reunited.
The Manchester band confirmed plans to reunite at a press conference in London yesterday (October 18). The band will play two dates at Manchester's Heaton Park on June 29 and 30 before embarking on a world tour.
On hearing the news Liam Gallagher tweeted: "[The] Stone Roses getting back together not been this happy since my kids were born... LG. (sic)"
Gallagher had previously spoken a Stone Roses reunion, saying: "I'd love the Roses to get back, play that album and make a s*ttload of money for themselves, because I'm sure they didn't make that much [before]. Do some great f*cking gigs, see what the reaction is and go make a new record."
Mark Ronson also praised news of the reunion, tweeting: "The Stone Roses reuniting is a bigger deal than Led Zeppelin. Strictly for the fact of how improbable it seemed until today."
Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday (October 21) at 9.30am.
