Radiohead has said they had no desire to promote their recent album 'The King Of Limbs'.
The eight-track album came as a surprise to fans and critics when it was released with little fanfare in the spring.
In an interview with NPR, Radiohead's frontman Thom Yorke said they “didn't want to explain it”, while guitarist Ed O'Brien added: “We didn't feel like it.”
Yorke also revealed that recording sessions for the album were like putting a film together.
"Almost every tune is like a collage: things we'd pre-recorded, each of us, and then were flying at each other," Yorke said.
“You get to a point where you think, 'OK, this bit needs a big black line through it.' It's like editing a film or something. I don't think we really genuinely thought anything would come out of it. Certainly not an entire record."
Radiohead's new remix album of songs from the original studio record, entitled 'TKOL RMX 1234567', is out today (October 10).
