James Corden has said that Matt Smith was the reason behind him returning to Doctor Who.
The Gavin and Stacey reprised his role as Craig Owen in Closing Time, which aired over the weekend.
He told TV Buzz: "I'm really taken by him [Smith], he is the main reason I went back to Doctor Who.
Corden previously admitted to Radio Times that he was surprised to find himself back on the show, saying: "When I left last time, I thought it was a great experience. But it never crossed my mind that I would come back, because most people don't."
The final episode of the current series of Doctor Who, The Wedding of River Song, airs on BBC One October 1, at 9.00pm.
