Boy George has expressed his sadness at the death of Amy Winehouse.
The singer was found dead at her flat in Camden, North London on Saturday (July 23). She was 27.
On Twitter, Boy George said: “I cannot contain my sadness and my anger about Amy Winehouse. Rest in peace child, it is a deeply sad day for many reasons!”
Winehouse’s death comes just days after she made a surprise appearance during her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield’s gig in London.
Tribute have also been paid from her producer Mark Ronson and Lily Allen – both close friends of the star.
