Lily Allen has paid tribute to Amy Winehouse, who has been found dead at her flat in London.
The singer, who had a history of drink and drug abuse, was 27. Police have said her death is unexplained.
On Twitter, Allen said: “Its just beyond sad, there's nothing else to say. She was such a lost soul, may she rest in peace.”
Winehouse’s death comes just days after she made a surprise appearance alongside her god-daughter at a gig in London.
The singer danced on stage, but stopped short of singing.
She released two studio albums – ‘Frank’ and more recently 2006’s critically-acclaimed ‘Back To Black’.
