Katy Perry Re-Attempts Planking After Fan Criticism

Katy Perry has re-attempted Planking after fans criticised first try at the internet craze.

Planking involves posing for a photo while lying face down in an unusual public place, and has proved popular with music stars including Kings Of Leon and Justin Bieber.

But Perry's first attempt came under fire from fans who took aim at her posture, which saw her hold her arms out in front rather than by her side.

In a message on Twitter, the singer posted a new picture of herself planking while dressed as a mermaid, and said: "PROPER planking FTW! #itswhatArielwoulddo.”

Last week, rapper Xzibit slammed music stars and celebrities, calling it the "dumbest s*it ever".
