Take That have revealed that they were inspired to write the theme song for The Three Musketeers after watching the forthcoming film.
The song, entitled 'When We Were Young', will debut on UK radio on Monday (July 11) and is the final single to be taken from their recent album 'Progressed'.
The group wrote the track after being shown a private screening of the 3D film with director Paul W.S. Anderson in Los Angeles.
“The film is visually so rich and beautiful that our main challenge was to then match it musically,” Gary Barlow said.
“We’ve returned to guitars, real pianos and a conventional song structure to achieve this. We also thought that the Musketeers reminded us of ourselves.”
The Three Musketeers opens in the UK and US on October 14, and features Logan Lerman, Milla Jovovich, Matthew Macfadyen and Ray Stevenson.
