A newly uncovered interview with Bob Dylan has revealed that the singer was addicted to heroin.
The interview was recorded by friend Robert Shelton in 1966 as the pair travelled between gigs on a private plane.
"I kicked a heroin habit in New York City," Dylan says in the recording, which have been syndicated to BBC News and are set to be turned into a film.
"I got very, very strung out for a while, I mean really, very strung out. And I kicked the habit. I had about a $25-a-day habit and I kicked it."
The interview appears to confirm long-time rumours that Dylan had once been addicted to the drug.
