Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax are set to headline next year’s Sonisphere festival.
The bands - dubbed the Big Four - will top the bill on the opening day of the event, which runs from July 8-10 at Knebworth.
It will mark the first time all four bands have brought their show to the UK.
“Put your dancing shoes on, this is gonna be fun,” Metallica’s Lars Ulrich said.
Slayer’s Kerry King added: “Now England is in line to be devastated by this heavy metal powerhouse! Can’t F*cking wait!!!”
Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax join previously announced headliners Biffy Clyro and Slipknot.
Tickets are on sale now. For more details and to buy Sonisphere festival tickets, check out Gigwise Gig Tickets.
