Devendra Banhart has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on his US tour after breaking his leg skateboarding.
The incident is understood to have occurred at the weekend and means shows in Utah tonight (March 29) and Denver tomorrow (March 30) will now no longer take place.
In a statement on his website, Banhart said: “So your old pal Devendra just broke some bone in his leg skateboarding before the show yesterday.
“I'm ok thanks but we had to cancel the last few shows of the tour. I am SOOOOOOOOOO sorry to all of you who were planning on seeing us and the Grogs and we will really miss playing for you.”
The singer added that he had wanted to perform the shows “in a bed or something” but claimed doctors quickly ruled out the idea.
