Rihanna To Play First Concert Since Alleged Assault

Rihanna is set to return to live action next month for the first time since she was allegedly assaulted by her then boyfriend Chris Brown.

The singer from Barbados will perform in Dubai on May 28 at an as yet to be decided venue.

The concert was announced Rachelle Cherpak, a spokeswoman for the Dubai Tourism, whol told E! News: “Normally they create a special stage in the desert for these events."

The alleged altercation between Rihanna and Chris Brown took place on February 8 when the pair were on their way home form a pre-Grammys party.

Brown has since pleaded not guilty to assault and making threats against Rihanna, the case is set to resume on April 29.
