Rihanna has cancelled her proposed comeback concert in the United Arab Emirates according to organisers.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the singer was due to play the huge show in the desert at the end of this month, her first since the alleged assault by Chris Brown.
However, organisers have released a statement announcing that the May 28 show will no longer take place.
Concert organiser Yassin Matbouly said "We want to share with you that Rihanna and her management will not hold a public concert at this time as it is not appropriate timing."
However, Yassin says that they are still hoping Rihanna will play a show in the UAE at some point in the future.
He said: "Rihanna's management contacted us and explained she was unable to come to the UAE in May, but said she is keen to still perform in the region.
"It is very sad for us at this time knowing the concert will not happen, but we will not give up and we will continue to put our offer to Rihanna's management for a future date."
