Janet Jackson has been forced to postpone her upcoming tour of Japan due to the tough economic climate, her concert promoter has said.
The singer had been due to play five concerts in the Far East beginning in Saitama, near Tokyo on February 14th.
However, Japanese concert promoter Kyodo Yokohama told the Canadian Press that the singer had been forced to postpone the trip "due to the impact of economic crisis”.
The dates, which also include shows in Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka, will be rescheduled for a later in the year.
The US leg of Jackson's Rock Witchu world tour, her first in seven years, was disrupted last year when the singer suffered a bout of vertigo.
