The Zutons have revealed that they are planning to team up with Mark Ronson at Glastonbury for a collaboration.
Ronson of course reworked The Zutons’ song ‘Valerie’ with Amy Winehouse, a track which has emulated the original and earned the band a tidy pay-check.
The band’s drummer Sean Payne has now said that Ronson wants to team up with them in some way at Glastonbury, explaining to the Daily Star: “We’re doing Glastonbury when Mark Ronson’s doing it and he was saying that we’ll have to do something, but probably not the same song.”
The scouse outfit were speaking fresh from performing at Radio 1’s sun-drenched One Big Weekend in Maidstone.
Payne continued that they weren’t exactly excited about headliner Madonna, adding: “We weren’t bothered about Madonna being on the bill, but more pleased about The Raconteurs playing. They’re a class band. I really like the new album – I think it’s like one of them that’ll grow on you.”
