 
 Kanye West was among the musicians who attended Gil Scott-Heron’s memorial service in New York on Thursday (June 2).
The rapper closed the public service with a performance of ‘Lost In The World’, taken from his 2010 album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’.
The track samples the line “Who will survive in America?”, whish is taken from the late musician and poet’s ‘Comment #1’.
Grammy-winning producer Malcolm Cecil, Scott-Heron's wife Brenda Sykes, daughter Gia-Scott Heron also attended the service at Harlem's Riverside Church, reports Billboard.
Scott-Heron died last weekend at a hospital in New York. He was 62.
