Cheryl Cole has secured a £3milllion deal to judge the upcoming American version of The X Factor, it’s been reported.
Cole, who currently judges the UK edition, is understood to have been told by Simon Cowell about her new role at the weekend.
US TV bosses are said to have been won over by the singer’s honesty and believe the job could make her a household name in the US.
"It's a dream come true,” a source close to Cole told The Sun newspaper, adding: "Cheryl was absolutely delighted."
The Girls Aloud singer has apparently yet to sign a contract but has been assured of the position on the panel, which could also include Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger.
An X Factor spokesperson has refused to comment on the report.
