Blur frontman Damon Albarn has revealed that the band have more new material ready to record.

The group, who reformed last year, surprised fans in April with the release of a new limited edition 7” track, entitled ‘Fool’s Day’.

In an interview with NME.COM, Albarn said he had enjoyed the release, and that it wouldn’t be the last from the band.

However, he also warned fans to expect a wait for more new material due to each band members other commitments.

"I'm definitely going to do a few more of those seven-inches," he said. "I love the no pressure aspect.”

Albarn added: "We can't do it all the time. So I don't want anyone to think there's an album coming soon, it's not possible, but we've got songs!"

As previously reported on Gigwise, Albarn’s side-project Gorillaz has announced plans for a UK and Ireland arena tour.

The six-date jaunt will take place in September.
