Blondie fans are set to be spoiled rotten with news of special pop-up shop setting up stall in Camden, a unique photography exhibition by the band’s co-founder and guitarist Chris Stein, and a brand new video that you can check out below. Oh, and an exclusive 7” single.
The pop-up shop will appear in Camden Market and will be open for business from April 29 until May 3. Fans will have the first chance to get their hands on exclusive merchandise, including highly limited edition vinyls, vintage t-shirts as well clothing, bags and posters designed by artist Shepard Fairey.
Exclusive items include 1000 copies only of a one-off 7" vinyl of previously unreleased and unheard track 'Tonight' co-written by Charlie XCX and recorded during the Magic Shop album sessions.
And if that wasn’t enough, the shop will also host an exclusive photography exhibition by Chris Stein that will showcase a series of iconic photographs, providing a behind-the-scenes look on life in Blondie.
But enough of that! Let’s have a butcher’s at the video for ‘Long Time’, the third track to be taken from their 11th studio album, Pollinator. Co-written with Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes, the video is directed by Dikayl Rimmasch who worked with Beyonce on her Lemonade album videos.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Blondie play a sold-out gig at The Roundhouse in London on May 3.
