Lady Gaga has been accused of keeping money she made from selling charity wristbands, according to reports.
Lady Gaga has apparently come under fire after it was discovered that the proceeds from her 'We Pray For Japan' wristbands were not all going towards the Japan relief fund as claimed.
The singer was sued just before she performed at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan benefit show in Tokyo on Saturday (June 25), reports NBC.
An American legal network has claimed that Gaga kept part of the $5 donation that each customer paid for a wristband and also increased postage charges so she could make more money for herself.
The lawsuit also claims that the singer included the money she allegedly kept for herself in the donation figures, falsely increasing donation numbers in order to make more money.
The suit claims that Lady Gaga's false advertising and the personal profits made from the wristbands both violate consumer protection and federal racketeering laws.
Lady Gaga has not yet been available to comment.
