Cheryl Cole has been backed to become a long-term hit in America following her appointment as a judge on The X Factor USA.
The Girls Aloud star and former X Factor UK judge was confirmed for the programme last week and began auditions at the weekend.
She was photographed in Los Angeles with fellow judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and LA Reid.
Bookmaker William Hill believe Cole will last more than one season in the US, offering odds of 5/2 on two seasons and 2/1 on three.
The odds that Cole will be taken off the show after one series are 5/1.
Spokesman Joe Crilly told Gigwise: “It could be argued that appointing Cheryl is a risk but Simon very rarely makes mistakes and the odds suggest that Cheryl will be a success in tinsel town.”
The X Factor USA is due to air in August. The programme will be hosted by Nicole Sherzinger and Steve Jones.
