Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and The Flaming Lips have joined the music stars who have tweeted about the death of Osama Bin Laden.
Bin laden, the al-Qaeda founder, was killed in Pakistan by US troops earlier today (May 2).
His death sparked an influx of posts on Twitter from the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry – a now a host of other artists have taken to their social-networking site.
Wentz wrote: "Wow Obama 1, 2 punch: lion king video than Osama dead. Seriously I wanna see who runs in 2012.”
Chuck D said: "One f*ckin dude in a cave, gimme a break please would some UFO come down and straighten this human race out, even if you gotta devour us."
"Ding Dong the witch is dead!!" Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne said. "Which ole witch?? The wicked witch!!! Ding Dong the wicked witch is DEAD!!!"
Bin Laden's death brought to an end a ten year hunt for the al-Qaeda founder, who was accused of masterminding the 9/11 attacks.
