Prince 'To Perform On The X Factor'

Prince is set to perform on the grand final of this year's X Factor, it's been reported.

The singer is understood to have agreed to appear on the reality show in December after being approached by Simon Cowell.

The music mogul is said to be a “big fan” of the musician, who is also tipped to mentor one of this year's finalists.

“Simon wanted Prince on the show any way possible,” a source told the Daily Mail. “An appearance at the final will be fantastic.”

As previously reported on Gigwise, Prince is one of the artists rumoured to be headlining next year's Glastonbury festival.

The singer is due to return to the road next month as part of his Welcome 2 America tour.
