Following Prince's decision to auction off his gold Fender Stratocaster to Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton, Gigwise thought it was time we paid tribute to some cool guitars.

Like Hamilton's $100,000 purchase, these instruments are likely to set you back a bit, as musician's like nothing more than to splash out on their weapons of choice.
