The former Jam frontman is one of twelve acts nominated for the award, which will be handed out in London tomorrow (September 7).
Gigwise has launched our own search to find out who our readers think should win – and so far Weller is well ahead of the likes of The xx and Wild Beasts.
But there is still time to change the result before the official winner is announced tomorrow.
Who Should Win The Mercury Prize 2010? - VOTE NOW.
As previously reported on Gigwise, bookmakers William Hill have made Weller's 'Wake Up The Nation' favourite to win this year's prize.
The xx are second favourites at 7/4, while Wild Beasts are 5/1 and Laura Marling is at 7/1.
Kit Downes Trio and Dizzee Rascal are the outside bets, at 33/1.
