Lady Gaga 'Eyes' Trigger Medical Warning

American opticians have warned teenagers to avoid wearing contact lensers that claim to make their eyes look bigger.

The lenses, developed in Asia, have been inspired by Lady Gaga's video for 'Bad Romance'.

The singer's eyes were digitally enhanced to make them look bigger in the video, but several companies claim to have developed lenses that create the same effect.

The Circle Lenses are illegal in the US, but many teenagers are ordering them from the Far East.

Dr Assumpta Madu, from the Montefiore Medical Centre in New York, told BBC Newsbeat: "There literally is potential for somebody to lose their vision within 24 hours from an infection."

But a spokesperson for one company said the lesnes didn't have “any quality problem”.
