Lady Gaga Thanks Fans As She Beats Barack Obama In Facebook Battle

Lady Gaga has posted a video message thanking her fans for following her on Facebook.

It comes after the star became the first living person to have more than 10 million fans on the social-networking website.

The US singer beat president Barack Obama to the title following a closely fought race.

“Thank you so much for all your love and support, and for sticking by me through 'The Fame' and 'The Fame Monster',” Lady Gaga said.

As of Monday (July 5) morning, Lady Gaga had 10,686,085 fans, while the US president had 9,830,067.

The only person with more fans is the late Michael Jackson, who has over 13 million followers.
