Lady Gaga will perform on a stage worth $100,000 when she headlines the Lollapalooza festival this summer.
Organisers have spent nearly $150,000 ahead of the star's appearance at the Chicago event, which runs from August 6-8.
Festival founder and Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell told MTV that it was Lady Gaga who made the special request for a “giant stage”.
"So we spent like $100,000 to give her a giant stage,” he said.
“We spent close to $150,000 to house the production she's gonna do. And I say yeah, let's do it."
As well as Lady Gaga, Lollapalooza will be headlined by The Strokes, Soundgarden, Green Day and Arcade Fire.
