Phil Spector 'Attacked In Prison By Fellow Inmate'

Shamed music producer Phil Spector has allegedly been attacked in jail by an inmate.

According to friend Steven Escobar, the 70-year-old “mouthed off to a big guy” at Corcoran prison, California last November which prompted the man to hit Spector.

According to several reports, Spector lost some teeth and suffered from a black eye and bruised nose.

Around the time of the alleged incident, Spector's wife Rachelle said: "There are still safety concerns. We don't want the people who put him in this position to retaliate."

Despite the reports, jail spokesman Stephen Smith, said in a statement: "We have had no reports he was involved in an altercation."

Phil Spector is serving a life sentence for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.
