Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray is due to appear in court in Los Angeles later today (February 8).
Dr Murray is due to surrender at 1.30pm (local time), his lawyers said, following days of confusion in the case.
Jackson's personal physician had been expected to hand himself over to authorities to face a charge of involuntary manslaughter on Friday.
But a dispute arose over how the physician should be taken into custody.
The Los Angeles District Attorney wanted Dr Murray to surrender on his own accord - but police wanted to arrest and handcuff him.
CNN reports that Dr Murray's legal team expect him to be charged in connection with the singer's sudden death last June.
Dr Murray was with Jackson in the hours leading up to his death and told police he had administered sleep medication to the star.
In August, the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office ruled Jackson's death as homicide "due to lethal levels of propofol".
Dr Murray was acting as the singer’s physician ahead of his planned comeback gigs. He has denied any criminal wrongdoing.
Over the weekend, he made a surprise visit to Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles where Jackson's body is buried.
