Dr Dre says he wants Jay-Z to record guest vocals on his long-awaited new album 'Detox'.
So far, T.I., Lil' Wayne and Nas are among the rappers who have been linked to the project,
However, Dr Dre told MTV News that he was targeting Jay-Z following the success of the rapper's recent album 'The Blueprint 3'.
"Well, actually, Jay-Z's just been in the studio doing some writing," Dr Dre said. "Hopefully I'll get him to perform on the record. Jay, come holler."
As previously reported on Gigwise, Dr Dre confirmed earlier this month that 'Detox' won't be released until at least 2010.
The album was originally due in 2004, but has been hit by persistent delays.
The follow-up to the rapper's 1999 album '2001' was last scheduled to be released this year.
