Activision have confirmed that a playable Kurt Cobain character is set to make an appearance in the forthcoming Guitar Hero computer game.
The former Nirvana man will appear in Guitar Hero 5 which goes on sale September 1st.
The move, which sees Cobain line up alongside Jimi Hendrix, Matt Bellamy and Johnny Cash in the game, was cleared by both Courtney Love and Cobain's former Nirvana band mates.
Gamers will be able to play the tracks Lithium and Smells Like Teen Spirit in the game which also features music by Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes, Iggy Pop and David Bowie.
