Well ladies, if you haven’t yet fallen in love with Orlando Weeks, this track from The Maccabees will do it for you. The Brighton based band have been touring like mad, gradually winning over more and more fans, and this is a track which will add to the pile. Less upbeat than their previous singles, ‘Toothpaste Kisses’ works as a brilliant contrast. It gives us time to stop, think, and appreciate Orlando’s delicate yet impressionable voice. If this song doesn’t make you want to grab and kiss the next person you see, not much else will. It is sweet and romantic, without being cringe worthy, which not many artists achieve so well today. The song does as it says and will ‘win your heart,’ with its soft whistling and intricate plucking on the acoustic guitar.
