A summer treat from The Maccabees. Everyones favourite new band have delivered another piece of sugar coated pop music that will have the plaudits chomping at the bit and the realists wondering how long before the bubble will burst for the Maccabees. A good song yes, but damn sickly. Its not edgy or new. But like so many of the new bands, its not pretentious, and that is far more important. Frenetic guitars, jagged drumming interspersed with lovely little arpeggios on a clean tone fender. Yes, we have heard it all before and we will hear it all again but not with this much honesty. If you are at the festivals this summer, watch out for these boys.
