U2 frontman Bono celebrated his 51st birthday yesterday (May 10) by sharing cake and champagne with fans in Mexico.
The singer was initially enjoying the treats on the balcony of his hotel in Mexico City, before he appeared outside and gave glasses of bubbly to waiting fans.
He then posed for photographs before driving off in a waiting vehicle – you can see pictures below on Gigwise.
U2 are due to resume their 360 Degree world tour with three gigs at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium, starting tonight (May 11). Support will come from Snow Patrol.
As previously reported on Gigwise, U2 are due to headline this year's Glastonbury festival are being forced to pull out of the event in 2010.
