U2's Bono has denied claims that he was admitted to hospital after a reported heart scare last week.
The singer, who recently finished U2's 360 world tour, was reported to have been admitted to hospital in France on Wednesday (August 17) after suffering heart palpitations.
A spokesman for the singer told Reuters that the reports were false and Bono was just attending a routine check-up.
"Despite press stories to the contrary, Bono has not suffered a recent health scare. Reports of his being rushed to hospital for emergency treatment are untrue. Bono is in good health and enjoying a family holiday in the south of France."
U2 headlined this year's Glastonbury festival after Bono was forced to pull out from the previous year after undergoing emergency back surgery.
