A documentary about U2 directed by Davis Guggenheim, is set to open this year's Toronto International Film Festival.
From The Sky Down charts the band's journey from 1991's Achtung Baby' to the present day.
Guggenheim said: "In the terrain of rock bands - implosion or explosion is seemingly inevitable.
"U2 has defied the gravitational pull towards destruction, this band has endured and thrived.
“The movie From The Sky Down asks the question why."
Guggenheim famously won an Oscar for the climate change documentary An Inconvenient Truth, which featured former US vice-president Al Gore.
